Until the Flood

Jeannie Beirne is the Resident Scenic Designer for Harlequin Productions. She has also enjoyed working with The Olympia Family Theatre, Saint Martin’s University, and South Puget Sound Community College. In Missouri, she has designed Urinetown and The Music Man with Missouri Western State University, and The Drowsy Chaperone, She Loves Me, and Damn Yankees for Tent Theater. In Arizona, Jeannie designed Mama and Jack Carew and the world premiere of Suocera by Hal Corley at the Theatre Artists Studio and Big Love with Kim Weild at Arizona State University. 

Sara has spent much of her time as a designer around Los Angeles. She had been the resident designer for the last 17 years at The Hannon Theatre Company; Loyola High Schools elite theatre program. She worked for USC as the Wardrobe Supervisor for the last 10 years, until the pandemic hit at which time she relocated to the PNW. She has designed for a number of theatre companies in LA and done a number of independent films. Favorite projects include Queen Hamlet, a musical version of Hamlet set to the music of “Queen,”  and Taming of the Shrew done Bollywood style.

Mark is a local lighting designer based in Tacoma and teaches technical theatre and design at Tacoma School of the Arts and occasionally at the University of Puget Sound, having spent most of the last 20 years as a lighting designer, production manager, and technical director; he also works with Zombie Orpheus Entertainment and much of his film work can be seen on The Fantasy Network. BA in Theatre Production from Bradley University.

Other local productions include: O’Brien in 1984 and a monstrosity in The Head That Wouldn’t Die, both for TAO. In Los Angeles, he played Larry in the LA premiere of Inspecting Carol, Walter Pangbourne in Move Over Mrs. Markham at the Mukenthaller, Argan in The Imaginary Invalid and Tartuffe in Tartuffe at Arroyo Repertory, and Bunthorne in Patience at the Occidental Theatre Festival among others. He performed standup at The Comedy Store in Hollywood and the Ice House in Pasadena. He has appeared around the country, including ten years at Nevada Shakespeare. His favorites there include: Claudius in Hamlet, Falstaff in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Prospero in The Tempest, Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing, Toby Belch in Twelfth Night and Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has appeared on TV in Cheers, Scrubs, The Young and the Restless, and others. John studied with Sanford Meisner, Charles Marowitz and Larry Moss.

Liz is a local stage manager born and raised in the Seattle area. This is her first production with Harlequin. Other stage management and backstage credits include work with Seattle Children’s Theatre, Seattle Rep, West of Lenin, Sound Theatre Company, Annex Theatre, Fantastic.Z Theatre Company, Taproot Theatre Company, and others. Equity, Imagination, and Joy.

Margaret is delighted to be working with Harlequin. A transplanted New Yorker, her pre-Northwest credits include Roundabout Theatre Company, American Repertory Theatre, and the Metropolitan Opera. In addition to 25 years as Director of Casting for Seattle’s ACT-A Contemporary Theatre, she has cast independently for Icicle Creek Theatre Festival, Arizona Theatre Company, Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre, Cleveland Playhouse, and Portland Center Stage; taught audition workshops at Cornish College, the University of Washington, Eckerd University, and The Guthrie Theatre/University of Minnesota; and served as an adjudicator for Portland Actors Conservatory. She holds a B.A. Cum Laude in English Literature from Yale University.
