Set in December of 1961, The Stardust Christmas Fandango will continue Harlequin’s annual celebration of American pop music for the holidays. Fandango is the twenty-second in the series that has provided a delightful alternative Holiday entertainment for all ages since 1994. A small Greenwich Village nightspot, the Stardust Club is home to a group of striving performers and musicians who struggle to keep the doors open while negotiating their personal lives, romances and Big Apple career moves. The roller coaster events of the mid-twentieth century may keep them off balance, but Christmas still brings out the best in everyone. A Holiday Gift for All Ages.
Olivia (Cowlitz Indian Tribe) is the Resident Lighting Designer at Harlequin. Olivia graduated from Central Washington University with a BFA in Theater Design and Technology. She has also worked with Tacoma Opera, Theater Artists Olympia, Olympia Family Theater, Tacoma Arts Live, SMU, SPSCC, and Seattle Children’s Theater.
A long time performer in the Pacific Northwest, Amy holds a BA in Performance from The Evergreen State College and a Master’s Degree in Applied Drama at The University of Exeter. Favorite roles include Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web (Olympia Family Theater), Maria in Twelfth Night or What You Will (Animal Fire Theater), The Mouse in If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (Olympia Family Theater and Nell Gwyn in Or, (Harlequin Productions). Amy would like to thank everyone on the production team for being such wonderful people to share this experience with. Thanks finally to her family, friends, Andy & Alex, and the Olympia community for the continued support of the arts.
Maggie has also worked with TAO, Lakewood Playhouse, Annex Theatre and the Indiana Repertory Theatre. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BFA in Theatre Performance (Go Blue!). Love to Christian, who brings love, laughter and magic into her life.
Other favorite roles include Roger in Rent, Claude in Hair and Jamie in The Last Five Years. Bruce also works behind the curtain. He has designed and built sets for over 300 productions, including some here at Harlequin. He is very proud and honored to be a part of this beautiful and significant show.

Other local credits include Lizzie Borden in the Perennial Players’ production of Blood Relations. Hailing from Vidalia, GA, Ashley earned her BA with a double major in Performing Arts and Business Administration from The Evergreen State College and has since dove head first into the world of arts focused non-profits. She currently serves as Harlequin’s very own Operations Director and strives to create unforgettable theatrical experiences for all.
Christie has been doing theater locally for many years, and after taking a brief break for Graduate school, she is excited to be back in the theater community. Favorite roles and performances include: Oklahoma! (5th Avenue Theatre), Nine, Musical of Musicals the Musical (Tacoma Musical Playhouse), Cathy in The Last 5 Years (Centralia Community College), Maureen in Rent, Jo in Little Women (Capital Playhouse), Ulla in The Producers, and Chrissy in Hair (UTEP Dinner Theatre). Christie played D1 volleyball at University of Texas at El Paso while receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance, then pursued a Masters of Arts in Education from Pacific Lutheran University. She currently teaches 8th grade Language Arts at Salish Middle School.
Regional work includes the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Green Show in Distant Thunder, a developing Native American musical. Locally, he last played Magaldi in Tacoma Musical Playhouse’s Evita and has performed in several musical productions around the South Sound, including Les Miserables, Hair, The Fully Monty, Buddy! The Buddy Holly Musical, and others. Jeff is Board President of two WA State arts non-profits, Red Eagle Soaring Native Youth Theatre and the Olympia Film Collective. He is co-owner of Sky Bear Media, a video production company. He is married to Shana, and they have five children, two dogs, one cat, and a fish but checks to make sure the fish is alive daily.
Off stage, you can find Miguel playing music with Los Super Hermanos and other top-notch musicians from the region. Miguel graduated on a track and cross country scholarship while attending The Evergreen State College. Yeah learning! Go Geoducks! “I would like to thank my wife and kids as well as my Pineda/Guzman clan for all their support. ¡Sí se Puede!”
Rick has been an active bass player in the Puget Sound area since 1978. He has performed with the Tacoma Symphony, Olympia Symphony, Olympia Chamber Orchestra, Sweatband, Mood Swing, Size 3 and The Hot Five. His Harlequin credits include Tenderly, Man of La Mancha, First Date, Little Shop of Horrors, Pippin, Assassins, A Rock N’ Roll Twelfth Night, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Dancin’ In The Streets, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Sixties Chicks, Sixties Kicks! and so many Stardust shows that he has lost count! Rick currently performs with the Jazz Senators, teaches private lessons and performs as a freelance bassist. Rick wishes to thank his wife Kay, and kids Nicole and Aaron for their continued support.
David is a self-taught axeman who excels in a wide variety of styles and has been applying his craft in the Northwest music scene for over 35 years. He has played with funk groups Bump Kitchen, Sweatband, and Mother’s Friends; the improv jazz-rock group Jam Camp; and the swing group The Hot Five. Currently, he plays in the band Pontiac Alley, a diverse Americana outfit, and the 90’s tribute band Smelly Cat.
