Denim is so excited to be back at Harlequin in the role of Roger in this season’s production of RENT! This show has held a special place in their heart, and the hearts of countless others for so long, and Denim is honored and grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a legendary show. Aleks is THRILLED to be making his Harlequin Productions debut in one of his favorite musicals of all time! Born and raised in South Alabama, Aleks made his way over to the PNW after joining the Army. By day, he works as an IT Support Tech, but his true passion is definitely in theatre. Aleks’ first onstage appearance was in the Lakewood Playhouse’s production of Avenue Q in 2016, in which he played Gary Coleman. Prior to RENT, his most recent credit was Tacoma Little Theatre’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. Other credits include Elf the Musical (Auburn Community Players), A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol (CenterStage Theater), The Rocky Horror Show (Burien Actors’ Theater), Shrek: the Musical, Angels in America (Lakewood Playhouse), American Idiot, and The Full Monty. Aleks would like to dedicate this performance to his partners, his close friends, and his fellow actors who have continued to support him on his journey!

Sri is ecstatic to be a part of one of his dream shows since he first became enamored with musical theatre. RENT has always held a special place in his heart and the opportunity to explore it in a lens he’s never considered is something that will stay with him for years to come. You may have seen him in Cabaret (Kit Kat Boy), Anastasia ( von Roth Bart/ensemble), SpongeBob the Musical (foley fish) at BPA, and various other productions throughout the Greater Seattle Area.

Elizabeth is thrilled to be joining the team at Harlequin Productions for RENT! This show has held such a special place in her heart since she was a hopeful 15 year old, camping out overnight at the theater for special, cheap orchestra seats. She faithfully watched every version of it she could in the years that followed and she can’t believe that she now gets to help bring the experience of RENT to life on stage herself! Special credits/nominations include: Rosie in Mamma Mia, Mayor in Toxic Avenger (Stumptown Stages), Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins (NWCT).

Araquin is ecstatic to step back onto the Harlequin stage for this incredibly important show! You may have seen him in a few shows around the sound, such as Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet & Texas in Cabaret (Harlequin), Cabaret, Kinky Boots, & Cats (TMP) or Rent (TLT). He would like to thank his cats, Domino and Monty, and his sister for putting up with him screeching his songs in the wee hours of the night.

Divya is thrilled to be making her Harlequin debut in her dream role and show! You may have seen her recently in Anastasia at Bainbridge Performing Arts, on a tennis court, or somewhere in the mountains. Thanks to her friends and family for the love and support, and to the RENT team for bringing this beautiful show to life. No day but today!

Rebecca is over the moon to be returning to Harlequin in her dreamiest dream role and show after playing Brooke in Noises Off five years ago. Selected credits: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods (The 5th Avenue Theatre). Amy March in Little Women (Seattle Repertory Theatre). Jersey Boys, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Village Theatre). Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act and Suzanne in The Hello Girls (Taproot Theatre). Founder of Cort Studios (@cort_studios), where she teaches Grotowski-based psychophysical acting. Also, a drag king under Broy Tolton. @beckabrooke

Nathan Groome is delighted to be making his Harlequin debut in RENT! He has been seen locally in The Lightning Thief and Honk! (Olympia Family Theater), Amélie (SPSCC), as well as previously in Southern California in Fun Home and Miss You Like Hell (Patio Playhouse), and as a performer at Legoland California Resort. He is currently working towards an MFA in theatre arts pedagogy with an emphasis in dramaturgy at the University of Idaho. Nathan would like to thank everyone who has and continues to come out and support the performing arts.

Heather is delighted to return to Harlequin Productions! Other favorite local roles include Alison in Fun Home, The Witch in Into the Woods, and Diana in Next to Normal. Heather also recently made her Musical Director debut heading up Olympia Family Theater’s production of The Lightning Thief. Heather enjoys performing with Capital City Chorus and her band SpareCrow, teaching music at McKenny Elementary, and playing piano, accordion, guitar, drums, clarinet, sax, and harp. Maiya is ecstatic about making her Harlequin debut in RENT! A participant of community theater since she was 10 years old, you may have seen her locally in Sunday In The Park with George (SPSCC) or many Apple Tree Productions community shows.
