Building Madness

Overview

Professional World Premiere!

Winner of the Panowski Playwriting Award

Building Madness is a farce for the ages. The locally based Kate Danley, an award-winning and prolific novelist and playwright, has managed to capture a classic, timeless feel with a modern wit, and whose women are much smarter than theatrical devices.”Chase Anderson for NWTheatre.org

Love those great old comedies from Hollywood’s Golden Era of the 1930s, like It Happened One Night and His Girl Friday, where funny women run the show? You will love this!

Max and Paul are just trying to keep their architecture company afloat, but they accidentally hired the mob to build a police retirement home. They may never get the project done in this screwball comedy, but they are most definitely building madness.

Meet Brett Carlson, Featured Artist for Building Madness

In Meta-tinations 2023, Brett Carlson, a metal artist, continues his meticulous exploration of hand-cut tin, piecing together strips of metal reclaimed from diverse sources to create new images. The Metatinations series “presents visual images and messages utilizing recycled decorative containers in a collage-style format”. By using recycled decorative tins, brads, and wood, this represents a rebirth of iconic images into new concepts and visuals.
