The Misanthrope

In this lively, updated version of Moliere’s most profound comedy, Alceste and Celimene are (loosely!) modeled after Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, and the French court has become the American Pop Music Machine. Some things never change, including love, politics and the razor-edge of Moliere’s wit.
