Local productions include Aida in Aida and Dynamite #1 in Hairspray with Apple Tree Productions. Other recent and notable productions include Kiss Me, Kate with Seattle Musical Theatre, Pippin with the University of Washington (2017), the Mute in The Fantasticks! with Olympia Musical Theater (2016), and Little Becky Two-Shoes in Urinetown with UW Stage Notes (2016). In the fall, she will return to the University of Washington for her senior year and will complete her Bachelor’s of Arts in Musical Theater and American Indian Studies. When not in school or performing, she works as a dance instructor at Debbi’s Dance Etc. and Hi-Liner’s Theater, and choreographer for Apple Tree Productions. Mackenzie is a member of the Coharie Native American Indian Tribe of North Carolina and is honored to be able to share her heritage and indigeneity in this production.
