In Los Angeles, he played Larry in the LA premiere of Inspecting Carol, Walter Pangbourne in Move Over Mrs. Markham at the Mukenthaller, Argan in The Imaginary Invalid and Tartuffe in Tartuffe at Arroyo Repertory, and Bunthorne in Patience at the Occidental Theatre Festival among others. He performed standup at The Comedy Store in Hollywood and the Ice House in Pasadena. He has appeared around the country, including ten years at Nevada Shakespeare. His favorites there include: Claudius in Hamlet, Falstaff in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Prospero in The Tempest, Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing, Toby Belch in Twelfth Night and Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has appeared on TV in Cheers, Scrubs, The Young and the Restless, and others. John studied with Sanford Meisner, Charles Marowitz and Larry Moss.
