A mother figure to all, Betty owns this lovely place but may soon lose it. Has romantic notions about the big wide world.
Sgt Froggie LeSueur
Charlie’s friend and frequent visitor. A good man who blows things up occasionally for Crown and Country.
Catherine Simms
A former debutant set to inherit her family’s fortune. She is Ellard’s sister and is engaged to Rev. Lee.
Ellard Simms
A simple young man. It’s his sister Catherine’s decision whether he’s smart enough to get his half of their inheritance.
Owen Musser
A truly shady character, who may even have ties to the Klan. Trying to devalue Betty’s Lodge so the good Reverend can buy it on the cheap. Not keen on foreigners.
Rev. David Marshall Lee
Another one to watch. He’s the local minister, Catherine’s soon-to-be husband, and is plotting with Owen.
