China Faith Star’s artwork and performance has been exhibited in over 100 solo exhibitions and countless group exhibitions across the US of A and internationally. She is the founder and lead curator of CaTMA (Contemporary and Transmodern Arts) Gallery, curator/gallery coordinator at Washington Center for the Performing Arts, and awarded the 2024-2025 Emerging Curator Exhibition at Leonor Fuller Gallery at SPSCC. She is dedicated to bringing beauty and inspiration to the world through her own series work as an artist which is broad beyond medium limits but threaded together with a focus on evolutionary consciousness and experiential joy. As a curator and gallerist, she is dedicated to helping artists succeed in their careers by offering opportunities for museum-worthy immersive exhibitions, guest curation, consignment, and council.

Artist Statement
“The mysteries of life unfold the deeper you endeavor to look. My work is about opening eyes to that which exists beyond the initial view. Working in abstraction with paint allows me to lose myself into a collaboration with the unknown. Much of my making process is in freeing myself from the outcome of a piece and instead allowing the composition to emerge organically. Whether working to capture the figurative or working to avoid any reference, the painting itself informs me of when my work is done. My trick of the eye, spectrum and plane separation paintings utilize 3D technology to allow the work to further surprise, both myself as artist and the viewer, by lifting that which sits flat upon the surface, peeling it up into the air, creating an interaction that exists uniquely for each who experiences it.”
