Leontes is the beneficent King of Bohemia—until an unfounded jealousy seizes him. In a mad rage, he tears apart his own family and kingdom. When he finally comes to his senses, he discovers that he has destroyed everything he loves, and his future appears to hold nothing but grief and remorse. They say that time heals all things, but never so literally or beautifully as this Time.
Other local roles include Captain Hook in Peter Pan (OSD Players and CTE), Toad in The Wind in the Willows (OFT), Clov in Endgame (Calpurnia’s Dream), Richard in Fuddy Meers, and Adam in Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me (Centralia College). Jason has directed numerous shows for children and is going into his fifteenth season as the director of Creative Theatre Experience’s Showcase program. He currently teaches Drama and Social Studies at Thurgood Marshall Middle School here in Olympia. Jason owes everything to his beautiful family for their tremendous love and support. Russ is grateful for the opportunities to share stories on stage and looks forward to what lies ahead.
Andy has worked as a playwright, director, and actor in Olympia for over 35 years. Acting credits include Estragon in Waiting for Godot, Sir Toby Belch in A Rock and Roll Twelfth Night, Clark in Lewis and Clark at the End of the World (Harlequin); Richard and Garnet in Equivocation, (Saint Martin’s) and Lear in King Lear (guest artist, Olympia School District). Directing credits include: The Glass Menagerie, Sylvia, Inspecting Carol (Harlequin) and Into the Woods (Saint Martin’s). Writing credits include The Wind in the Willows, Fishnapped! (with Amy Shephard) and A Murder for Old Time’s Sake.
Dennis just loves playing Shakespeare. Since 1993, he has appeared on stages in Edmonds, Renton, Seattle, Federal Way, Gig Harbor, Tacoma, Lakewood, Lacey, Tumwater, Olympia and Centralia, but he considers the State Theater home.
