As of November 23, 2022, Harlequin continues to encourage patrons, volunteers and staff to wear a mask while in the theater. As of June 17, 2022 proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test is no longer required for entry.
We continue weekly rapid COVID testing for anyone in our Production Group (anyone working on a particular production).
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Actors’ Equity Association and small professional theatres across the country expired on November 6th. We continued the policies and procedures outlined in the MOU after expiration. Since then have established our own Infection Control and Risk Mitigation Measures to ensure the safety of theatrical production. These measures were implemented on January 3, 2023.
In summary, Harlequin will continue to implement the following safety measures to keep patrons, volunteers, staff, and production crews safe:
- Masking. Patrons, staff, and volunteers are encouraged to mask at all times, as are artists and crew backstage.
- Cleaning procedures. High-touch surfaces like doors, railings, counters, and restrooms will continue to be cleaned frequently.
- Testing and screening. Performers, designers, and crew continue to be tested weekly. In addition, anyone working directly with the performers is required to test negative to enter the theater space. Staff and volunteers are required to self-screen for COVID symptoms daily. We request that all patrons self-screen for symptoms prior to arrival as well. If you are ill, please stay home. If you need to make arrangements for your existing tickets due to a COVID-19-related illness or exposure, contact our Box Office at 360-786-0151.
- Ventilation. Updated ventilation (HVAC) systems, including state-of-the-art MERV-13 filtration systems, have been installed throughout the theater space.
We will review our policies on an ongoing basis, updating them as conditions change.
