Sixties Kicks!
Held Over thru Saturday, July 31, 2010
a Harlequin Original Musical Celebration
Held Over thru July 25, 2010
"Get your motor runnin'..." with the music, the politics, the love, and the "fun, fun, fun" of the sixties! This sequel to last summer's smash hit, Sixties Chicks, continues the celebration of sounds that rocked a generation and gave a new voice to a new world. The sixties brought us folk rock, surf rock, the British invasion, psychedelic rock, heavy metal and new ways to experience and express the uniquely American dream. Sixties Chicks packed houses and brought cheering audiences to their feet, night after night. The beat goes on with Sixties Kicks!
Final Weekend Celebration! Help us celebrate a fabulous run! 1/2 price beer, wine and specialty cocktail! 1/2 price tickets for 30 and under! (online ticket discount password: "beatle").
“The Sixties, of course, was the worst time in the world to try and bring up a child. They were exposed to all these crazy things going on.” --Nancy Reagan
“The thing the sixties did was to show us the possibilities and the responsibility that we all had. It wasn’t the answer. It just gave us a glimpse of the possibility.” --John Lennon
Warning: Real. Live. Theater.
Loud music and "haze" effects. (Free earplugs available at the concessions counter.) Studies indicate that listening to rock'n'roll may lower your inhibitions and make you take drugs and dance naked in public. It may even turn you into a communist. If you've been there and done that, this show is for you. If not, it may be about time you gave it a try. Not recommended for children under six or adults who really just don't like having a good time.
